Los ingleses X-Ray Spex fueron una banda de punk rock formados en 1976. Con la extraordinaria cantante Poly Styrene (a.k.a. Marion Elliot) vocalizando, Jak Airport (Jack Stafford) en guitarras, Paul Dean en bajo, Paul ‘B. P.’ Hurding en Bateria, y Lora Logic (a.k.a. Susan Whitby) en saxofon. Este ultimo instrumento nombrado fue una adicion totalmente atipica a la instrumentacion del punk rock tradicional del momento, y se transformo en uno de los grupos mas originales y con una musica muy identificable.
